MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Basic Skills Requirement (see https://teachinla.co/BSR for details).  

• Baccalaureate or Higher degree from a regionally-accredited Institution of Higher Education.  

• Hold or qualify for a credential or permit authorizing full-time, contracted service as a teacher in a California Public School. 

• [COUNSELORS] Hold or qualify for a California Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a school counselor.

• Complete application
• Provide documents by uploading them into your Profile. Please save your documents under the categories below PRIOR to uploading them:

1. 1. Basic Skills Requirement -Your regionally accredited BA or higher, CBEST or another CTC Equivalent
   2. BA (or higher) degree transcripts - Please upload transcripts for all degrees that you hold
   3. Community/Junior College transcripts**
   4. Subject Matter Requirement (Credentialed & Intern applicants)
   5. Copy of your credential(s) including any expired credentials**
   6. Current Resume
   7. Copy of Internship eligibility letter (University Intern applicants only)

• Enter your references on your Applicant Profile with contact email and phone number. Your references contain the following:
  • You must submit reference information reflecting your employment held within the past three (3) calendar years including all school-based and/or child-centered employment 
  • A minimum of three (3) references are required
  • Applicants who are enrolled in or have completed a teacher preparation program and have less than three (3) years of full-time teaching experience must submit reference information for their master/cooperating teacher(s).
  • References MUST be from direct supervisors (not peers)
• Applicants may be contacted via email by Human Resources (HR) with requests for outstanding documents or information.
