Geotab is seeking a Proposal/RFP Intern who who will assist the Sales and Business Development team in developing and organizing sales and business development proposal projects. What you'll do:
As a Proposal Intern your key area of responsibility will be assisting RFP Managers with developing sales proposals, assisting with training materials and tools, and and helping to update and maintain our content library. You will also be involved with updating Geotab’s processes and systems as required, and supporting the coordination of ongoing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. RFP is an acronym for Request for Proposals, which is a method for Commercial and Public Sector Organizations to seek vendors to meet their business needs. Geotab’s RFP Managers assist the Sales and Business Development teams to respond to these RFPs to win business.
As the Proposal Intern, you will work with internal stakeholders across the organization in the timely delivery of proposal responses. You will need to work closely with Geotab’s Sales/Business Development, Legal, Security, and Solutions Engineering teams.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.
The opportunity:
- 8 month work-term beginning May 2026.
- Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:
- Assisting RFP Managers with managing sales proposals and the proposal process
- Reviewing sales proposal documents
- Engaging internal resources/subject matter experts as required and following up with them on deliverables
- Taking meeting minutes and distributing them to the team
- Preparing and reviewing Geotab sales documents for submission (populating content, writing, proofreading, printing, shipping, etc. if/when required)
- Monitoring procurement sites, reviewing potential sales opportunities and sending it to the appropriate stakeholders
- Ensuring sales records in Salesforce are up-to-date and accurate
- Assisting RFP Managers with projects (data analysis and reporting, surveys, templates, training, tools)
- Assisting with reporting (data collection, analysis and summarizing)
What you'll bring to the role:
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to effectively multi-task
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Familiar with G Suite / MS Office Suite: Docs/MS Word: Formatting and Styles, Sheets/MS Excel: Formatting tables
- Demonstrates good judgment, effective problem solving and can prioritize tasks appropriately
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Self-motivated to complete work
- Strong time management skills and ability to work with strict deadlines
How we work:
This role offers an hourly pay range which is anticipated to be the range listed below. The actual pay for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to student's academic program, relevant experience, and location. Geotab is committed to fair and equitable compensation and will share final details as part of the offer process. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work for the duration of the internship and the individual's ability to pass a background check.
