About the Role

Freestone is searching for qualified candidates to join us as Wealth Management Interns with our Client Advisory Team in Seattle, WA. The internship will run from June 15th to at least August 14th (minimum of 9 weeks total), and includes a structured program designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on experience in wealth management and training in financial planning, investments, and client service through workshops, projects, and ad/hoc assignments. As the summer progresses, interns may have the opportunity to apply their knowledge with the completion of a cross-functional project, presenting investment and planning recommendations to advisors based on real-world client situations. This experience provides practical skills, professional development, and valuable insight into a career in financial services.

Successful candidates for this position will have a demonstrated track record of both educational and professional achievement, along with a passion for going above and beyond, operational efficiency, proactive problem solving and a strong interest in financial services. 

The anticipated start date for this internship will be June 15th 2026. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Client Advisor Teams in their daily business practices.
  • Help organize, track, and assist with team projects, seeing them through to a successful completion.
  • Provide back-office assistance to associate team members by preparing forms such as account applications, beneficiary updates, money movements, etc.
  • Assist in preparing relevant marketing materials and proposals for prospective client meetings.
  • Aid in organizing client data and other key client information in our CRM and reporting systems.
  • Additional ad hoc responsibilities as capacity allows.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Rising Seniors in pursuit of a degree in Finance.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and operational processes.
  • Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple responsibilities and changing priorities.
  • Capability to manage projects independently and readiness to assume a high level of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated outstanding client service and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

  • Potential for college credit if applicable.
  • Catered lunches M-Th.
  • The expected hourly wage for this position is $25/hr.
  • Relocation and housing assistance is not provided.
