What does the Commodities, Food & Agri (“CF&A”) Team do in ING?
Commodities, Food & Agri is a global team, consisting of more than 250 professionals dedicated to providing financial solutions to clients involved in the trading of physical commodities (energy, metals and minerals, and agriculture), as well as the producers and processors of metals and minerals, and food and agricultural products. This internship will focus specifically on clients active in the Food, Beverage & Agribusiness (“FB&A”) subsectors in the APAC region.
FB&A APAC is a newly established sector coverage team at ING Singapore, dedicated to strengthening the bank’s relationships with key FB&A players across the region. The team focuses on product-agnostic deal origination and fostering strategic dialogue with clients, aiming to deliver the full breadth of ING’s capabilities. With strong emphasis on supporting clients’ growth ambitions, the team leverages on ING’s global network and comprehensive wholesale product suite to drive client value.
FB&A’s coverage encompasses ING’s 11 core markets across APAC and spans the entire food & agri value chain. This includes upstream origination (e.g. farm inputs, grains & oilseeds), farming and processing (e.g. dairy, animal protein, fresh produce) and the downstream consumer chain (e.g. branded F&B products, food retail, foodservice, food logistics, food packaging). In addition, the team coordinates with other regions to support ING’s global FB&A clients in executing their banking requirements across APAC.
Given ING’s global sustainability leadership, FB&A also plays a key role in facilitating sustainable business models, and guiding clients on their journey towards lower emissions and their sustainability goals.
