Our Intern program is critical to our client’s success and is an integral part of our operational support for the Personal Injury and Criminal Defense Legal teams.


Our team of Legal Operations Interns are responsible for managing legal correspondence, running legal documents, and assisting with a variety of administrative duties. The ideal candidates are interested in pursuing a career in law or business operations and have a strong desire to learn about the behind-the-scenes activities of a law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring law students to gain real-world experience and knowledge in the legal field.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing outgoing mail correspondence for the Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense case managers.
  • Delivering and picking up legal documents, discovery materials, records, and resources from various locations, such as courts, law firms, private businesses, and government agencies across South Carolina.
  • Aid in administrative tasks, such as filing, organizing documents, photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.
  • Learn Litify to manage the remote correspondence logs.  
  • Navigate the DocRio filing cabinet and obtain training materials and firm-wide resources.
  • Cover for in-office Receptionists as needed.   
  • Prepare and mail new client welcome kits
  • Help with database management and mailing list management.  
  • Support Operations Director with Special Projects.   
  • Assist the marketing/social media team with content creation

Who you are:

  • Must be actively enrolled in a college or university undergraduate program. 
  • Must have a clean driving record with no speeding tickets.
  • Must have reliable transportation. Be willing and able to run legal errands with mileage reimbursement.
  • 3.5 or higher GPA. 
  • Ability to work between 20-24 hours per week.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
