About the Role

Brahmin’s Internship Program allows students an introduction to the Luxury Goods business.  Interns will have the ability to see each area of the business as well as work collaboratively within their department to apply learning to practice.  With department partnerships in Design and Product Development, we offer tailored opportunities for the intern to have dynamic learning experience.  This role will be a hybrid role at our Corporate Headquarters in Fairhaven, MA and last 8 weeks.  Throughout these 8 weeks, the intern will be given the tools to build an internship presentation to showcase their learnings.

 

Internship Initiatives

Under the Direction of Design and Product Development, the Design intern will be able to work cross-functionally on the following initiatives:

  • Seasonal Trend and Color Concepting
  • Leather and Material Development Strategies
  • Introduction to Handbag Product Design including CAD, Technical Design Specifications and Pattern Making
  • Handbag Component and Hardware Development Strategies
  • Collaboration with Product Merchandising, Design, Materials Design, and Product Development Teams

 

Minimal requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or continued education
  • A senior in a design or design related undergraduate program, graduate student or recent college graduate in a design-related field.
  • Ability to be in person 3 -4 days per week at our corporate headquarters in Fairhaven, MA
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail, very task-oriented, and a self-starter
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Preferred cumulative GPA 3.0

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
