Part-time approximately 12months (two semesters) Fixed term Contract roles

Start date: Immediately

During the internship with TechSite Services, you will engage with a wide range of people including academic staff, professional staff, event attendees, visitors, executive customers, and fellow students. While you learn from highly experienced staff who will train you on technical, communication and time management skills, this will also provide an ideal grounding for you to learn about the best business practices, office etiquette, taking individual accountabilities being a team player and lot more.

This is an ideal opportunity for you to prepare for your fulltime career once you complete your degree.

 Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team

TechSite Services' mission is to provide exceptional teaching technology, facilities, and special project management solutions to the Business School and its various communities.
TechSite Services is responsible for managing faculty's infrastructure, providing teaching and research technology support to meet the accreditation criteria, providing all facilities, front-of-house, in-class technical assistance, and event support within the OGGB.

 He kōrero mōu | About you

We are looking for interns to provide technical, facilities and administrative support to the University of Auckland Business School. You ideally will:

  • Have completed at least one Semester at the University of Auckland (UoA)
  • Be continuing your studies this year or even entering your post graduate study
  • Be looking for that steppingstone to your future career.
  • Are tech-savvy, hardworking and have can do attitude
  • Be willing to learn and go the extra mile.

Based in the Sir Owen G Glenn Building, TechSite Services internship programme working hours will be allocated on a roster to work around your class schedule. The roster is made up of 4 hours shifts between 7 am-8 pm Monday-Friday and some Saturdays. Short listed candidates will be asked to supply a copy of your class timetable. Ideally you will be able to work at least 1 morning (7-11am) and 1 evening (4-8pm) shift per week. These hours can be counted for Engineering degree general work experience.

Enrolled Student: Minimum:1st year, Semester 1 courses completed.
