Program Overview - Data Engineering with Databricks
Program Length: 5-7 Weeks (including exam completion)
Weeks 1–4
- Live virtual learning sessions (recorded for flexibility)
- Self-paced coursework
- Hands-on lab environments
- Real-world data engineering exercises
- Access to a broader Databricks learner community
Week 5: Dedicated certification preparation
Weeks 6-7: Complete final examination for certification
Goal: Earn the Databricks Data Engineer Associate Certification
What should you expect?
- Enrollment in the official Databricks Blended Learning Program
- Access to labs and materials
- Certification exam voucher upon program completion
- The program is fully self-paced with an expected 6–7-week completion window
- Participants are not West Monroe or Databricks employees
- Participants are not compensated
Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- 0–3 years of experience
- Internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience preferred
- Graduate of Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related degree programs
- Curious and eager to learn more about modern data platforms
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Analytical mindsets
- Motivated to earn a technical certification early in their career
- Experience in technical testing, issue identification and resolution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must reside in Costa Rica
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English in a professional environment.
- Participants are expected to fully engage in live sessions, complete all coursework, and sit for the certification exam within the designated timeframe.
Bonus if you have experience with:
- SQL or relational databases
- Python or other scripting languages
- BI or data visualization tools
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
No prior Databricks experience required — just drive and commitment.
