Data Analyst Intern

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Data Analyst Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer in Pullman, WA. If you are looking for the opportunity to support data analysis services within SEL's Manufacturing division, then this position is for you!

As a Data Analyst Intern, a typical day might include the following:

• Reviewing data and creating charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned.

• Developing ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to review, validate, research, clean and transform those inconsistencies.

• Supporting analysts to improve current reports and data sources.

This job might be for you if you:

• Are a current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a relative field of study.

• Are proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.

• Have strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills.

• Have strong attention to detail.

• Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

• Are able to learn and communicate technical/scientific information.

• Are able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.

• Are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

• Have background check results satisfactory to SEL and negative drug test result(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python, SQL or other analytic languages.

• Experience with reporting software, such as Power BI.

($18.00 - $25.00 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
