About the Role

Montecito Bank & Trust is offering a paid, part-time Marketing Internship in our Marketing Department. As a Marketing Intern, you will deliver a World Class Experience by supporting our Marketing team members as well as other Bank departments. You will work in a fast-paced environment and work on projects related to monitoring campaign performance, conducting research, and assisting with website development. You will be located in Santa Barbara, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.

What We’re Looking For

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of College/University coursework preferred; most relevant coursework may include marketing, communications, or journalism.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, curious, and creative.

Your Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Supervisor, the essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor campaigns with Google ads and analytics, and support performance reporting.
  • Attend weekly meetings learn about media and campaign planning.
  • Complete research projects on topics such as competitor activity, the use of AI in key marketing areas, new media opportunities, generational research, financial industry research, etc. 
  • Assist in tracking key performance indicators in monthly branch promotions, support the Bank email platform, and research best website practices/design.
  • Support the distribution of signage updates, collateral, and any promo item requests.
  • Other projects or tasks as assigned.

Internship Schedule

  • The internship program will run from May/June 2026 through August/September 2026 (flexible depending on school schedule or other job obligations).
  • The position will be on-site up to 25 hours per week, with no ability to work remote, for up to 12 weeks.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00.
