About the Role

Montecito Bank & Trust is offering two paid, part-time Enterprise Lending Internships in our Business Banking Department. As an Enterprise Lending Intern, you will deliver a World Class Experience by supporting the Business Banking department. This intern will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with members of Business Banking and Commercial Lending departments as well as other Bank Departments as needed. You will be located in Goleta, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.

What We’re Looking For

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of College/University coursework preferred; most relevant coursework would include economics, accounting, finance, and business.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical capabilities (familiarity with data, data integrity, and report creation).
  • Driven to learn, proactive, and adaptable.

Your Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Business Banking Manager, the essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in and learn BizMax process. 
  • Support Portfolio Managers with tasks as assigned. 
  • Review data mapped in the new loan origination system for accuracy.
  • Spread financial statements.
  • Research and suggest best practices for system maintenance and use.
  • Assist in file review for upcoming audits.
  • Assist with annual review process.
  • Projects and special tasks.

Internship Schedule

  • The internship program will run from May/June 2026 through August/September 2026 (flexible depending on school schedule or other job obligations).
  • The position will be on-site up to 20 hours per week, with no ability to work remote, for up to 8 weeks.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00.
