Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Help organize and synthesize field research, user flows, and discovery outputs into clear, visually compelling design boards and presentations for client workshops and project milestones.

  • Adapt core UX and UI templates to specific customer brands, applying colors, typography, imagery, and assets so that designs feel native to each insurer’s identity.

  • Build high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma that demonstrate end-to-end user journeys, microinteractions, and UX concepts for P&C insurance workflows.

  • Use your understanding of HTML/CSS (and XML-like structures) to ensure design intent can be implemented accurately and to assist in styling front-end templates to match customer branding.

  • Experiment with and apply AI design tools (for example, image generation, content suggestions, and layout assists) to speed up concepting, asset creation, and iteration cycles, in line with Professional Services’ AI-powered execution priorities.

  • Participate in design QA reviews to check for consistency, accessibility considerations, and client readiness across screens, components, and flows.

  • Collaborate closely with UX Field Agents, consultants, and product teams to support scalable, repeatable UX assets that help reduce implementation effort and time for customers and accelerate cloud adoption as part of Professional Services’ FY26 priorities.

  • At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.

What you’ll bring

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong UX foundation: clear understanding of the difference between UX and UI, user-centered design principles, and core interaction design patterns, supported by a portfolio of academic or personal work.

  • Professional-level proficiency in Figma, including components, styles, prototyping, and basic design systems usage.

  • Comfort reading and working alongside HTML/CSS (and structured formats like XML) to bridge design and front-end implementation.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, image-generation tools, or FigJam AI) as part of a professional design workflow.

  • Strong visual communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow and extend an existing visual language.

  • Openness to feedback, with the ability to iterate quickly and collaborate effectively in a hybrid, cross-functional environment.

  • Self-directed, organized working style with a “hunger to learn” and willingness to take ownership of tasks from start to finish.

Preferred

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, diploma, or certificate in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Experience designing for web applications or complex workflows (for example, dashboards, forms, or enterprise tools).

  • Familiarity with accessibility considerations (e.g., color contrast, keyboard navigation, clear affordances) in digital product design.

  • Exposure to enterprise or B2B software, especially in data-heavy or highly regulated domains.

  • Interest in insurance, enterprise systems, and SaaS products and how design can simplify complex systems.

Your Impact

We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first few months, you’ll partner with Senior UX Architects and UX Field Agents to take real customer research, business requirements, and configuration constraints and turn them into design boards, clickable prototypes, and branded templates that can be directly used in Professional Services projects.

You will help create reusable UX assets to support Guidewire's goal of transforming P&C insurance, enabling Professional Services to significantly reduce implementation effort and time, and accelerate cloud adoption. Your work will eventually improve the usability and adoption of Guidewire-powered solutions for insurers' end users globally, contributing to AI-enabled, value-focused deliveries.

  • Access to senior UX architects for portfolio reviews, career coaching, and technical guidance, plus targeted training on AI in UX and Guidewire’s product ecosystem.
