Our research department at the BMW Group focuses on cutting-edge technologies in automated driving. We explore how Vision Language Action Models with memory can enhance reasoning and task execution for future mobility solutions.

What awaits you?

  • You will support close collaboration within our research team at the BMW Group.
  • Furthermore, you help explore different memory approaches in Vision Language Models and Vision Language Action Models for automated driving applications.
  • In addition, you contribute to evaluating learning-based and non-learning-based memory techniques in automated driving tasks.
  • Moreover, you will assist in working on state-of-the-art methods and developing novel approaches.
  • In addition, you will contribute to the application of these approaches in our prototypes for practical testing.
  • Additionally, you work independently on your tasks with regular feedback from your contact person.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics or a related field.
  • Knowledge in machine learning and computer vision.
  • Knowledge in Vision Language Models and Vision Language Action Models.
  • Experience with memory approaches for language models is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • University supervision for your thesis is required.
  • Good German and English skills.
