We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Brand History & Social Media Intern to help digitize, organize, and safeguard our historical photos and marketing materials while also transforming our legacy into compelling, modern content.

This internship sits at the intersection of history, marketing, and digital storytelling. The intern will play a key role in preserving irreplaceable archival materials and will also have the opportunity to create portfolio-ready social media and content concepts inspired by the company’s history.

This role is ideal for students interested in marketing, communications, history, digital media, graphic design, or storytelling who want meaningful, hands-on experience—not just administrative work.

Job Summary: The Intern is responsible for helping to digitize, organize, and safeguard our historical photos and marketing materials, while also transforming our legacy into compelling, modern content. This position requires the ability to collaborate with company stakeholders to create portfolio-ready social media content and content concepts inspired by the company’s history.

Essential Functions:

  1. Demonstrates Company Core Values.
  2. Digitizes historical photographs, advertisements, brochures, and marketing materials spanning more than a century.
  3. Carefully handles, preserves, and organizes original archival materials.
  4. Organizes and catalogs digital files using consistent naming conventions and metadata (dates, locations, people, campaigns, eras).
  5. Assists in establishing best practices for storing and maintaining digital archival assets.
  6. Helps identify historically significant materials, milestone moments, notable campaigns, and brand evolutions.
  7. Creates a mock social media content portfolio using archival materials.
  8. Develops creative content concepts.
  9. Designs sample social media graphics and creates captions aligned with modern brand voice while respecting company history.
  10. Explores social media innovations to apply to a legacy brand, while balancing heritage with forward-looking storytelling.
  11. Reasonable and reliable attendance and timeliness when reporting to work and completing work.
  12. Interacts well with others.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university, pursuing studies in marketing, communications, history, journalism, public relations, digital media, library science, archival studies, or a related discipline.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in scanning documents, digital file management systems, and editing or design tools, such as Canva, Adobe, or related.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Communication (written, verbal, and visual) and interpersonal skills.

Special Demands/Physical Requirements: 

  • Includes small amounts of lifting, twisting, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding, etc. 
  • Requires sitting or standing at a desk for long periods of time indoors.  
  • Eye and hand coordination for viewing of monitor screen and multiple reports along with high volume of keyboard use.  
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between properties is required.
