About the role:

As a Reactor Vessel Internals Engineer 2, you will provide technical support for assigned work performed in reactor vessel internals design and analysis.

You will report to the Manager, Reactor Vessel Internals and Component Design and be located at Cranberry, PA. You will support this in a hybrid capacity, requiring 2-3 days a week onsite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytical calculations and evaluations using a variety of engineering tools and methods.
  • Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses.
  • Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware; this includes manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications, and qualification reports.
  • Work with technical leads, project managers, and customers in the coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope.
  • Occasionally traveling to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or recognized equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the mechanical field (aeronautics, nuclear, special machines)
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
  • Must have technical writing skills
  • 1+ years of experience with Finite Element Analysis, including if possible nonlinear analysis.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
