Job Summary
Prevea Health in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Quality team. In this internship you will gain hands-on experience in healthcare quality initiatives within the Quality team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to develop analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills while supporting patient outreach efforts.

What you will do

  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to verify patient status, determine if they are established with Prevea, and identify discrepancies and reporting to staff/providers as needed.
  • Review and update patient rosters received from payors to ensure accuracy.
  • Assess the need for patient outreach and determine the appropriate method whether that be by MyChart, letter, or phone call.
  • Potential to assist the Quality Advocate with patient outreach and scheduling when necessary.
  • Conduct data audits to track patients visits, missing information, and outdated records.


Education Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a college or university program such as Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Data/Business Analytics, or relevant degree Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Technology experience, to include Office Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while remaining calm and professional.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to speak one-on-one and to small groups.
  • Ability to gather information and formulate for reporting purposes.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, patients, public, external agencies, and senior level leadership.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable with work schedule
  • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Desire to learn about healthcare organizations.
