Human Resources Year-Round Internship - Temporary Employment 

 

This position will work at a casual status of up to 19 hours per week.

Job Summary
Prevea Health in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in both Human Resources and healthcare. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learn about key functions, and contribute to meaningful projects.

What you will do

  • Recruitment & Onboarding Support- Assist with the creation of job postings and descriptions. Review applications and screen resumes to identify potential candidates, while also assisting in sourcing candidates through various channels. Schedule interviews and coordinate communication with hiring managers. Support new hire onboarding by preparing materials, assisting with orientation, and ensuring the completion of required paperwork.
  • Employee Engagement & Experience- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition events.
  • Talent Acquisition - Assist with student pipeline processes by managing compliance forms for student rotations, completing necessary student onboarding tasks, and coordinating shadow placements. Additionally, support the maintenance of our Youth Apprentice Program.
  • HR Administrative Support- Assist with compliance-related tasks, including filing and auditing employee documents. Support data entry, reporting, and analysis for various HR functions.
  • Talent Development & Training- Assist in coordinating training sessions, including scheduling, materials preparation, and participant tracking. Help with logistics for Lunch and Learn sessions and leadership development programs. Gather and organize feedback from training sessions to support continuous improvement.
  • Employee Referral & Volunteer Programs- Track and report employee referral program participation and recognition efforts. Support initiatives like the Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program by maintaining records and assisting employees with requests. Assist in marketing referral and volunteer opportunities through internal communication channels.


Education Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a college or university program relevant to human resources. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while remaining calm and professional.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to speak one-on-one and to small groups.
  • Ability to gather information and formulate for reporting purposes.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, patients, public, external agencies, and senior level leadership.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable with work schedule
  • Ability to maintain and manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Technology experience, to include Office Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Desire to learn about healthcare organizations.
