About the Role

Role Overview

 

Kodak is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern to join our Finishing Team in Rochester, NY. The principal responsibility of this position is to provide engineering support on projects and day-to-day support to our manufacturing operation. As an intern, you will work with very strong mechanical and electrical engineers, mechanics, and operators.

 

You will have the opportunity to learn and perform the following duties:
•    Build 3D models of process equipment.
•    Design calibration fixtures for gauges and new parts for equipment upgrades.
•    Update drawings and develop solutions for obsolete equipment.
•    Help to troubleshoot defects and assist in finding root cause.
•    Help support Lean Manufacturing Projects
•    Work with operations, maintenance, and quality on process and safety improvements.
•    Use statistical methods for data analysis and problem definition.
•    Report progress and present the final projects’ accomplishments to the Engineering team.

 

Requirements:
•    Juniors or Senior Engineering majors at an accredited university, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related degreed program.
•    Strong abilities in MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other CAD software.
•    Strong analytic skills and can work independently.
•    Able to learn procedures for safety.
