About the Role

General Description: The Intern supports the copywriting team’s production of landing pages, videos, blogs, catalogs, emails and a wide array of other marketing materials.  This opportunity provides a unique, “behind-the-scenes” view of marketing and creative departments, including content and campaign ideation, workflow, approvals, and how content and creative materials support branding, customer retention and more.

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Writes marketing copy, blogs, video scripts and social media posts 
  • Conducts research to support the copy team’s creation of marketing, advertising and social media copywriting for both digital and print, 
  • ·         Researches marketing campaigns, blogs and websites of competitive brands to provide insights and inspiration to the team
  • Prioritizes projects to ensure deadlines are met and references are verified 
  • Works closely with Proofreaders and Copywriters, as well as Designers and Project Managers
  • ·         Shadows Proofreaders, Copywriters and Editors, providing input and assistance as needed
  • Participates in Copy Team and Content Team meetings and brainstorms
  • ·         2 days onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Additional duties as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Actively enrolled Junior/Senior or recent alumni from a fully accredited College/ University with concentration in Marketing, Public Relations, English, Writing, Literature or related field
  • Experience copywriting and proofreading (can be from classwork or school activities)
  • Articulate communicator with a collaborative spirit
  • Disciplined individual with solid organizational skills
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical ability 
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and the online landscape
