About the Role

The intern works closely with the Scientific Affairs (SA) and Technology teams to support the implementation and optimization of AI-powered knowledge tools. This primary focus is on efficient organization, distillation, and use of LE’s health, medical and scientific content for internal and external applications. Key responsibilities include assisting with content organization, AI response validation, and QA for internal knowledge systems.  

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing and structuring internal scientific and wellness-related content for use in AI-enabled knowledge tools
  • Support testing and refinement of internal AI chatbot responses to ensure alignment with approved scientific protocols and organizational requirements
  • Identify opportunities within the department where AI knowledge tools can be applied
  • Help identify unsupported claims, overstatements, or inconsistencies in AI outputs and flag them for review
  • Apply foundational health informatics concepts to content tagging, categorization, and standardization
  • Assist in creating test questions and basic evaluation criteria to assess AI response quality
  • Support synthesis of scientific literature into internal reference materials
  • Document findings, feedback, and recommendations clearly for SA and Technology teams
  • 2 onsite days per week is an essential function of this position
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

Position Requirements:

  • Actively enrolled Senior or recent alumni from a fully accredited College/University with a concentration in Health Sciences, Nutrition, Public Health/Epidemiology, Health/Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Data Science with relevant health coursework
  • Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, digital health, or health informatics
  • Experience with prompt engineering, implementation of agentic systems, RAG tools, or similar, through coursework or internship
  • Ability to read and interpret scientific literature at an undergraduate level
  • Excellent communication skills and superior attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information responsibly
