SUMMER- Student Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary:
Supports the University efforts to “flip” student housing from spring move-out to fall move-in. Supports all areas including cleaning, waste removal, furniture repair, carpet cleaning, painting, HVAC repair, light maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Uses college-provided supplies and equipment to assist custodial, maintenance, and grounds personnel as required.

- Painting
- Repairs
- Miscellaneous shop clean-up work
- Moving equipment and furniture
- Recycling and waste management
Required Skills/Abilities:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All job requirements listed indicate the minimum knowledge, skills, and/or ability deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently. - Ability to be punctual and dependable.
- Ability to accept responsibility for the security of equipment, supplies, and keys.
- (Preferred) Ability to drive company vehicles – clear driver’s license required
Education and Experience:
- Must be a regular, full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester (not required to be enrolled in summer classes to be employed but must be enrolled full-time in the upcoming fall semester)
- Must have a completed FAFSA (if eligible) on file with the Financial Aid Department for the current academic year.
