Bureau/Division Overview
The mission of the Department of Revenue’s Child Support Services Division is to enhance the well-being of children by partnering with parents and caregivers to meet the financial needs of the family. Effective child support services are an essential part of the larger effort by the Commonwealth and the federal government to promote families' economic self-sufficiency.
DOR/CSS’s core functions are to establish parentage, and establish, enforce and modify child support and health insurance orders. Much of our success depends on collaborations with a wide variety of state agencies and private entities.
Position Summary
The candidate will work in support of the Western Region, in particular, the Case Management team and will have the opportunity to assist the Case Management team with various projects and to interface with customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively in a professional manner in an office environment
- Provide administrative support to the Case Management team guided by the Regional Deputy Director and the Case Management Supervisors
- Assist with a comprehensive file room project
- Provide assistance to the customer facing aspects of the Regional Case Management team
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to follow directions and stay on task independently with attention to detail
- Exhibit comfort with technology in an office environment
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
- Show flexibility to handle multiple tasks
- Have an interest in public service work
