Bureau/Division Overview

The mission of the Department of Revenue’s Child Support Services Division is to enhance the well-being of children by partnering with parents and caregivers to meet the financial needs of the family.  Effective child support services are an essential part of the larger effort by the Commonwealth and the federal government to promote families' economic self-sufficiency.

DOR/CSE’s core functions are to establish parentage, and establish, enforce and modify child support and health insurance orders.  Much of our success depends on collaborations with a wide variety of state agencies and private entities.

Position Summary

Data Reconciliation & Analysis.

Candidate will assist with resolving participant and case data by performing research and analysis to identify, verify, and update information about participants. Focus will be primarily the coding of Registry of Vital Statics (RVRS) data and the updating of participants relationship, paternity and demographic information ascertained from birth records. The aid they provide will assist the unit with meeting our divisional goals and metrics.

Core Responsibilities

·       Via RVRS reports, the candidate will assist with entering the appropriate codes.

·       Candidate will update paternity status based on the birth record.

·       With guidance, the candidate will review participant data and update source and date, when appropriate.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ability to sort and filter reports.

·       Able to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders, via Outlook.

·       Familiar with Microsoft Teams; call, chat and meetings.
