About The Company
MassDEP serves the Commonwealth by protecting natural resource areas that involve water, land and air. Bureau/Division Overview

The mission of the Department of Revenue’s Child Support Services Division is to enhance the well-being of children by partnering with parents and caregivers to meet the financial needs of the family.  Effective child support services are an essential part of the larger effort by the Commonwealth and the federal government to promote families' economic self-sufficiency.

DOR/CSS’s core functions are to establish parentage, and establish, enforce and modify child support and health insurance orders.  Much of our success depends on collaborations with a wide variety of state agencies and private entities.

Position Summary

The intern will work with the front-end staff for the department, assisting customers, their legal representatives, employers and other agencies to navigate through the child support process. The position involves triaging requests with patience and professionalism in a fast paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

·       Assisting Walk-in Customers

·       Processing Housing Requests from customers/Housing Authority

·       Answering Switchboard calls and redirecting for further assistance

·       Assist supervisor with reviewing miscellaneous Intergovernmental requests

·       Processing Incoming/Outgoing Mail

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experienced with Excel and Word

·       Customer Service Orientated

·       Time Management Skills

·       Familiar with Zoom and Teams applications

·       Ability to work with diverse backgrounds
