Description:

The HR Service Center/Payroll Intern will experience the entire HR landscape by participating in process improvement, contributing to all activities in the HR Service Center, and supporting the Plant Spartanburg Associate Domestic & International payroll per agreed upon deadlines and quality standards.

 

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions: 

  • Support Time Administration topics under the supervision of Time Management team (Audits, Reporting, etc.)
  • Support Payroll topics under the supervision of the Payroll team
  • Support BMW Associate population through our HR Service Center (tasks include but not limited to new hire orientations, new hire meetings, initial hiring paperwork, general HR questions, etc.)
  • Support any current projects within department
  • Lead process improvement activities
  • Support BMW Associate anniversary award program
  • Conduct new hire and payroll audits
  • Support BMW Associates with Associate Self-Service portal and mobile App
  • Support requests for documentation from Legal team
  • Support International payroll topics as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology.
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Analytical skills.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 10th - December 11th, 2026.
