At BMW Research, we shape the future of AI in BMW vehicles. During your time with us, you will contribute to building AI agents and optimizing foundation models to power the next-generation in-car assistant.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support optimizing foundation models for BMW's next-generation in-car assistant.
  • Furthermore, you help build and evaluate GUI agent that use optimized models for real-world tasks.
  • In addition, you contribute to experimenting with model fine-tuning and reinforcement learning to develop smaller, efficient models.
  • Moreover, you will assist in applying state-of-the-art research to improve agent task execution and screen understanding.
  • You will also be involved in presenting your research results and findings in internal presentations.
  • You become part of an international, highly motivated team of AI innovators.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable STEM field.
  • Strong Python skills and experience with AI frameworks.
  • High agency and a builder mindset – you take ownership and drive results.
  • Interest in building the intelligent assistant of the future.
  • Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning and reinforcement learning is a plus.
  • Cloud technology experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
