Ready to delve into the world of prototype vehicles? Here at BMW, we get to immerse ourselves with in-depth analysis of cutting-edge electrical components packed inside our Luxury and Mid-size class X models, built right here in Spartanburg, South Carolina. By utilizing powerful data recording equipment, and exercising our complete understanding of both the hardware and software in the total vehicle, we are able to play an integral part in the exciting process of testing and delivering these premium vehicles to our customers. We are currently preparing for the launch of latest generation “Neue Klasse” models, which will push boundaries and set new standards for innovation in across the automotive industry.

 

We are a team of technical experts, recognized as the go-to for electronic product problem analysis within our vehicle assembly. We emphasize problem-solving to ensure that everything about the vehicle electronics runs smoothly. We help reinforce BMW's world-renowned reputation of excellence by prioritizing quality, functionality, and most importantly, the customers' experience with our product.

  • Familiarize yourself with the functionality of both the hardware and software of our vehicles
  • Support in the testing and debugging of prototype vehicles’ electrical components
  • Assist in electrical component test preparation, the testing procedure itself, data collection after testing, and the interpretation of results
  • Build upon your theoretical knowledge and apply creative solutions to real world problems
  • Freedom to create and develop software solutions to optimize processes

Qualifications

  • Major: Electrical Engineering
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE Aug 10th – Dec 11th , 2026.
