This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US.

Overview:

This is a paid, part-time, fully remote internship for current law students entering their 2L or 3L year, with a flexible start date in mid-May or later. Precisely is seeking a Corporate or Compliance Legal Intern to support its in-house Legal Department. Corporate Legal Interns will focus on corporate entity management and M&A-related documentation, gaining hands-on experience with due diligence, integration, and corporate compliance. Compliance Legal Interns will focus on policies and regulatory matters such as export controls, trade sanctions, and ESG, with exposure to compliance processes tied to international transactions and commercial agreements. 

What you will do:

Corporate Legal Intern: 

  • Learn about corporate entity management and corporate compliance at Precisely, including maintaining and updating corporate books and records. 
  • Support the drafting, review, and update of various corporate documents, including those related to M&A due diligence and integration activities. 
  • Support additional projects, as needed  

Compliance Legal Intern:

  • Learn about corporate compliance at Precisely, including export controls, trade sanctions, and ESG compliance. 
  • Support the drafting, review, and update of various corporate policies and procedures, as well as the implementation of various controls across Precisely. 
  • Review and analyze results of denied party screening, perform related research, provide summaries of findings, and update company records. 
  • Perform thorough and accurate research to identify politically exposed persons (PEPs) and to confirm beneficial ownership. 
  • Support additional projects, as needed.

  • Able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Able to meet time-sensitive deadlines when necessary. 
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint a plus for the Compliance intern.
