About the Role

This internship will work 32 hours per week, beginning in early June and run 8 weeks through early August.  The Intern will work onsite at our corporate headquarters in West Des Moines, IA.

Position Description:


Are you organized, detail-oriented, and eager to collaborate with marketing and event professionals? Do you want a chance to be creative and gain hands on experience in B2B digital marketing, social media strategy, and partner communications? If you answered yes to these questions, you will enjoy partnering with our ITA Group Events team to learn the basic strategy and tactics for B2B marketing and Industry Relations, including how we build, manage, and activate strategic supplier partnerships that support ITA Group’s Event Solutions line. The intern will gain exposure to our global supplier partner ecosystem and learn how strong partner relationships drive client value, innovation, and event execution. The intern will support the Industry & Partner Relations team and Marketing team with initiatives designed to strengthen ITA Group’s supplier partner ecosystem, improve ITA Group’s marketing presence for our events solution line and enhance collaboration across Events and Sales.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Supplier Partner Workflow & Communications
  • Support the refinement of the supplier partner presentation request workflow, including: 
  • Creation and maintenance of a public-facing presentation calendar
  • Drafting and updating email templates and communication guidelines
  • Documenting and organizing the end‑to‑end workflow to improve clarity and consistency
  • Assist with organizing partner inquiries and ensuring accurate information is captured and shared internally.
  • Supplier Partner Event Support – Converge (July 22–24)
  • Support planning and finalization efforts for Converge, ITA Group’s supplier partner event hosted at headquarters.
  • Assist with: 
  • Partner communications and tracking
  • Agenda and content coordination
  • Internal alignment with the ITA Group Events and Sales teams
  • Gain hands‑on exposure to a large‑scale partner event involving 175+ top supplier partners.
  • General Events Social Media and SEO/AI Marketing
  • Develop a repository of social media posts / visual content promoting our events expertise
  • Pull content and imagery from existing marketing content and develop draft social posts that can be leveraged across Instagram/Meta, Pinterest and LinkedIn
  • Interview various events team members to draw out stories of how we supported our clients and event participants with fun and heroic actions and draft social posts for use across networks
  • Help support social posting as needed through collaboration with the marketing operations team.
  • As time allows, help support website optimization activities for events in support of search and AI optimization
  • Learn about B2B marketing tactics as interested
  • Support content development for the Industry Partner Incentive and Travel Update, including: 
  • Gather trends and partner highlights from the Event Solution Line team
  • Drafting content 

Position Requirements:

  • Junior or senior majoring in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, Hospitality or a related field. 
  • Prefer someone with some digital marketing and/or social media experience, who is creative, detail oriented and understands the basics of digital marketing and what it entails.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity, tone, and professionalism when working with internal teams and external partners. 
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an organized manner
  • Comfort working with data and information, including organizing details, summarizing insights, and supporting communication efforts with accurate, relevant data. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with social media management tools or design platforms is a plus but notrequired. 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred (or equivalent), though relevant experience, coursework, and demonstrated interest will also be considered.
