The Legal Intern supports the Legal and Compliances related Departments by assisting with document filing, administrative tasks, and organizing legal data and records. This role helps maintain accurate, well‑organized legal files while handling confidential information with professionalism.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the Department with the preparation, filing, scanning, and organization of legal documents, contracts, and correspondence in both electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Maintain and organize legal databases, trackers, and shared folders to ensure documents are accurate, current, and easily retrievable.
  • Support administrative functions including data entry, document indexing, proofreading, and version control of legal materials.
  • Assist with managing deadlines by tracking filings, renewals, and other legal deliverables under the direction of legal staff.
  • Conduct basic legal and factual research as requested and compile information into organized summaries or spreadsheets.
  • Help ensure compliance with document retention policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect, organize, and file required legal documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and audit or compliance materials related to legal records.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as scheduling, copying, scanning, and responding to routine internal inquiries.
  • Always handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Pursuing a degree in the legal profession
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team

Work Environment: 

General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

Physical Demands: 

Frequent: sitting at a desk utilizing computers and phones

Periodic: standing, walking, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements

Occasional: bending, stooping, and lifting
