About the Role

This internship will work 32 hours per week, beginning in early June and run 8 weeks through early August. The Intern will work onsite at our corporate headquarters in West Des Moines, IA.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Business Process Automation Intern will work with the Enterprise Architecture team and other ITA stakeholders to contribute to the advancement of technology solutions by helping identify problems and develop automation-based solutions, enhancing employee productivity and process efficiency. By documenting workflows through process mapping, developing and deploying practical automation solutions, and managing multiple tasks with precision and minimal supervision, the intern will bring substantial value to ITA Group.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field – or has demonstrated abilities in process automation.
  • GPA: Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of programming concepts and hands-on experience building automation solutions. Experience with PowerAutomate, or AI-assisted tools is preferred but not required. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills–skilled in logic puzzles, brainteasers and solving complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently: Ability to take on tasks, manage time effectively, and make progress with limited supervision. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes accurately.
