The Supply Chain Intern will support a cross‑functional initiative to standardize and improve Unit of Measure (UoM) data across the organization. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented student who enjoys problem‑solving, data analysis, and process improvement. The intern will work closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Engineering, and IT teams to validate UoM data, identify inconsistencies, and help implement corrective actions that enhance system accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Review existing Unit of Measure data within ERP systems (e.g., JDE) to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and errors.
Assist in mapping current UoM structures and documenting how they are used across purchasing, planning, inventory, and production.
Support the development of standardized UoM guidelines and help update SOPs or work instructions as needed.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and understand process impacts.
Participate in data cleanup activities, including verification of packaging, case quantities, pallet configurations, and conversion factors.
Help test system updates or configuration changes related to UoM corrections.
Prepare reports, dashboards, or summaries to communicate findings and project progress.
Provide general support to the Supply Chain team on related projects or tasks.
Qualifications
Currently at least Junior or Senior in an undergraduate bachelor's degree program
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable working with data in Excel or similar tools.
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Interest in ERP systems and process improvement.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Familiarity with supply chain fundamentals such as BOMs, inventory management, or procurement.
Basic understanding of data governance or master data management.
