About the Role

CVA SCHOLARSHIP

•CVA will offer 16 $1,000 scholarships to students of active member-owners and 4 $1,000 to students of current full - time employees. 

Qualifications

•Applicant must be a student of a current full-time CVA employee at time of awarding. •Be a high school senior, graduating in spring 2026; or be a college freshman, sophomore or junior enrolled at a post-secondary institution pursuing an agriculturally related degree. High School seniors employed at CVA are also eligible. 

•Applicant must be a student of a current CVA member-owner. •Be a high school senior, graduating in spring 2026 •Enrolled at a post-secondary institution immediately following high school graduation. High School seniors employed at CVA are also eligible. 

•Demonstrate leadership abilities, academic performance and desire to further their education and career in an agriculturally related field.

•Submit one photo suitable for the newspaper to be used upon selection as an awardee.

•Complete online application fully.

Essay Guidelines

•Write an essay focused on the topic, "What inspired you to pursue a future in agriculture, and how do you hope to make a positive impact on your community and the industry?" Please do not use your name in the essay to keep applicant confidentiality. •All essays must be uploaded online and accompanied by CVA Scholarship Application

Rules

•The applicant is to fill out the online application form and upload their photo and essay to the Scholarship job application. *In the section asking for a resume, please use this area to upload essay and photo. Deadline March 1, 2026.•Applicants will receive a letter once the scholarship committee has determined awardees in April. The scholarship will be mailed to the college that is being attended on behalf of the awardee.
