About The Company
Anglian Water supply water and water recycling services to more than six million domestic and business customers in the east of England and Hartlepool. Our services are at the heart of every single family and community in our region. We clean water to the highest standard, deliver it to millions of homes, and carefully manage it to ensure it never runs out. We’re the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area. We’re also one of the driest regions in the country, with just 600 millimetres of rain each year, on average a third less than the rest of England. In fact some areas have a lower annual rainfall than Jerusalem. That’s why it’s vital that we look after the water that we’ve got.
About the Role
Location -  Dunstable, Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas
Start date - August 2026
Starting Salary: £18,000 (increasing to £23,500 in your second year!)

Join our Wastewater (Sewage) team as a front‑line Technician Apprentice and play a vital role in keeping our sites and equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is your chance to build a long‑term career with Anglian Water and make a real impact on the environment and our communities.

You’ll split your time between college learning and hands‑on experience across our operational sites. You’ll support the wastewater recycling process—collecting, treating and cleaning wastewater before returning it safely to our rivers and seas.

This is a practical, outdoor role where no two days are the same. It’s varied, rewarding, and occasionally challenging, but you’ll be part of a supportive team who will help you grow into a skilled technician.  Once qualified, you’ll join a 24/7 standby rota because your role is vital.
