Summer Internship program will start on 6/1 and run through 7/31

The Intern supports departmental operations within an assigned department while gaining hands-on, practical experience in the healthcare field. Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or designee and contribute to daily operations, projects such as research or strategic initiatives as well as other duties as assigned.
  • Work under the supervision of a department leader or designee to complete assigned duties.
  • Assist with operational, administrative or professional tasks aligned with department needs and the intern’s academic program.
  • Observe, document, and communicate work progress, findings, or issues to the supervising leader or team.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization using appropriate communication methods.
  • Participate in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested.
  • Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements.

As a Turn Team Intern, you will work alongside trained clinical staff to support:

  • Direct patient care activities focused on comfort, safety, and mobility

  • Turning and repositioning patients to prevent pressure injuries

  • Monitoring and reporting patient skin integrity concerns to care teams

  • Assisting with daily patient care needs in a supportive, supervised environment

  • Collaborating with nursing and support staff to ensure a safe and healing environment

  • Learning key patient care workflows used across the inpatient hospital setting

What We Require:

Education: Two years of High School required.

Experience: None required.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration/Life Support: May be required to obtain/maintain BLS.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and listening skills. Manual dexterity and visual perception. Job requires good hearing, clear understandable speech, and good finger dexterity.
