Position Overview

OMG’s FastenMaster division offers high performance fasteners, installation tools, and innovative construction products. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Information Technology Intern will play a key role in the deployment of one hundred (100) new systems across the campus. This position will serve as the primary resource responsible for executing the deployment plan and supporting the successful delivery of the initiative.

• Serve as the primary resource responsible for executing a campus‑wide deployment of approximately 100 computer systems.

• Assess existing hardware to determine upgrade or replacement needs, including hands‑on installation of components such as RAM and SSDs.

• Perform system deployments, configurations, and validations to ensure all devices meet organizational standards and are ready for end users.

• Manage data backup, migration, and verification processes to ensure data integrity throughout the upgrade lifecycle.

• Document progress, issues, and outcomes while collaborating with the IT team to ensure successful and timely project completion.

 

Position Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and basic troubleshooting concepts; hands‑on experience preferred.

• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage tasks, prioritize work, and execute project timelines.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document work and collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.

• Willingness to learn, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and approach challenges with a positive, “can‑do” attitude.

• Ability to use hands to handle tools and equipment, reach with hands and arms, and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
