Title: Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Intern
Location: BMS
Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented C5ISR Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship at our Bolinger Mississippi Shipbuilding facility. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research assistance: Candidate will be expected to aid the team with the research on industry best practices surrounding the relevant areas of expertise.
- Develop and Implement Security Strategies: Create, enforce, and monitor comprehensive security policies and procedures that align with industry standards and government regulations.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identify and manage cybersecurity, design, and integration risks specific to C5ISR systems or critical infrastructure.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work alongside various departments, contractors, and military personnel to ensure all programmatic, engineering, and administrative efforts are aligned and executed properly.
- Security Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular cyber security audits against deliverables to ensure adherence to DoD regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of the work performed and technical or administrative changes incorporated into deliverables. Prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in design, allowing students to develop industry-relevant skills, expand their professional network, and contribute meaningfully to Bollinger’s Engineering department.
