About the Role

Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry.

Our team sees projects through the entire development process from a pitch to a fully-written script through casting and attaching a director into production of a pilot to, in success, a series on air. Interns will gain experience in reading and analyzing incoming material. They will be exposed to writers, directors and producers throughout the creative process. Interns may be able to join table reads, casting sessions, pitch meetings, general development meetings and will work closely with the entire drama team.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Interaction with the close-knit drama team on a daily basis
  • Learning to write coverage on script
  •  Reading and analyzing incoming material as well as scripts our team is developing
  • Compiling research on properties for possible option
  • Being trained to have the skills of a working assistant on an entertainment desk
  • Rolling calls – the very specific way to do this for the creative community
  • Note-taking on calls – exposure & experience in understanding “what’s” important
  • Scheduling meetings with key leaders and producers in the creative & production industries – this assists in the development of the key players and stakeholders in the industry
  • Updating status reports for all series
  • In addition to this, the interns will get exposure to some of the critical meetings – development meetings, production meetings, and the issues discussed there

 

Qualifications: 

  •  Enrollment in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in film or tv
  • An ambitious, proactive personality
  • A passion for television with a creative bent
  • Good eye for creative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Someone with a great attitude and passion for television and film

The anticipated base salary for this position is $19.00/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
