Inside Sales Intern | New Berlin, WI | Hybrid work-schedule

Status: Full-time summer internship

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-4:30pm

Hybrid Work schedule: Must be able to work onsite at our New Berlin, WI location on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Our Inside Sales Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our U.S. Direct-to-consumer (DtC) inside sales team. This internship offers the opportunity to learn how inside sales contribute to customer satisfaction and business growth. You will assist with initiatives that develop your skills in direct-to-consumer sales, customer relationship management, DME product knowledge, and the overall sales cycle. Through this role, you will build practical experience in communication, problem-solving, and revenue generation while contributing to real-world sales operations.

 

Main job responsibilities: 

Sales Function:

  • Conduct customer outreach and contact potential new customers referred by outside leads, doctors’ orders, insurance information, and web shop inquiries.
  • Handle a variety of inbound and outbound customer calls related to the sale of DME products.
  • Process existing customer sales orders according to departmental instructions and quality procedures.
  • Train on the complete catalog of Atos Medical’s medical devices to provide technical product support and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Support various stakeholders in monthly appointment planning and sales-related tasks for North America.

Customer Service:

  • Take requests via phone or web shop and ensure accurate order entry.
  • Communicate essential client information necessary for scheduling product shipments.
  • Process assigned web-shop orders.
  • Maintain accurate departmental notes regarding insurance, sales, customer orders, and demographic information.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Insurance, and Accounting Departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with the Insurance Department to ensure proper billing to insurance companies, contracts, and third-party payers.

Other:

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management to meet internship goals and business priorities. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • GPA of 3.0+ 
  • Junior or Senior status as of March 2026
  • 3-6 months of customer service and/or sales experience OR related course work

 

Competencies:

  • Ability to recognize prospects, present products, and close sales.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
  • Strong communication skills/phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work in a team environment a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize them and pay attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated PC and keyboarding skills along with experience in Microsoft Office.
