Job Description

Looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to learn and understand the CTX SW test process including the tools and methodologies that is currently been used. Willing to understand and learn to write test plans and then execute them hands-on.

Responsibilities

Essential functions:

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Willing to learn/support manual hands-on testing onsite in Edgewood.
  • Work with the Team members and domain expert to understand the testing effort by learning to analyse the requirements of software projects.
  • Be creative in generating test cases, use cases and write, execute test plans in support of those projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thoroughly document test results and willing to present it to the team.
  • Willing to be mentored by a team member.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Windows, virtualization
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Willing to work next to the hardware on an engineering floor setup.
  • Complying with and promoting all relevant legal requirements & Smiths policies and procedures, including business ethics, data protection and health & safety

Qualifications

Education/Training: Undergrad in process or completed

Experience: 0 years

Knowledge/Skills: Windows, Linux, Virtualization and Python. Willing to work with CTX machines on engineering floor.

The compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 - $35.00/hr and will vary depending on factors including level of school completed and type of position requirements for skills, whether technical or non-technical.  We are committed to ensuring our interns are fairly compensated for their valuable contributions.
