About the Role

Overview

General Summary: This internship offers an opportunity to learn about both Marketing and Visual Merchandising. This will be a split internship in both departments to gain an overview of Visual Merchandising and Marketing roles.  Core Position Responsibilities: Marketing Focus •    Assist the marketing team in the execution of in-store and external marketing efforts with a focus on local campaigns including updating mall marketing sites with current Aeropostale & Lucky Brand promotions. •    Assist in briefing in store and online advertising efforts consisting of emails, site updates, store collateral and more. •    Monitor and report on retail competitors. •    Assist on photo shoots activities (creating photo libraries, preparing shot documents, presentation boards, shot lists etc.). •    Provide research, maintenance, and support for assigned departmental projects and tasks as assigned. •    Participate and provide feedback in group meetings and discussions if applicable. •    Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor •    Participate in a filmed Summer Intern content series, including occasional on-camera moments that highlight the design process, team culture, and day-to-day life at Aéropostale. •    Collaborate with the Brand Marketing and Social teams on approved content ideas that showcase the intern experience. Visual Merchandising Focus •    Retrieve, unpack, process, and organize all visual samples for Aero and Lucky.  •    Maintain stockroom organization and complete frequent merchandise purges.  •    Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of mock stores. •    Fold, hang, and style merchandise. •    Prepare mock stores store for all scheduled events and walk-through’s.  •    Organize and place marketing elements as directed

•     Assist in creating and utilizing merchandise checklists.  •    Assist visual team in creating seasonal floorset guides. •    Uphold all corporate visual, marketing and operational standards.  •    Work directly with visual management to execute all assigned visual direction.  Position Requirements: •    Relevant coursework in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field. •    Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence concepts and emerging technologies •    Strong familiarity with social media platforms (particularly Instagram and Tik Tok) preferred but not required.  

•     Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in social media content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. •    Interest in content creation, storytelling, or social media as it relates to fashion, culture, and the design process. •    Public facing social media accounts with at least 10K followers preferred, but not required •    Detail oriented individual with strong organizational, communication, time management and interpersonal skills. •    Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). •    Highly motivated, strategic thinking and self-starting individual. •    Must be available June 1st - August 7th, 2026 for 40/hours per week. •    Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company. •    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position. •    Must have authorization to work in the United States.  Physical Requirements: •    Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. •    Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy. •    Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day  •    Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day  •    Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods •    Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level •    TBD based on role (carrying equipment, moving boxes/samples, etc.)    EEOC Statement: SPARC Group LLC is an equal opportunity employer. Pay Range

USD $28.80 - USD $38.63 /Hr.
