About the Internship

The Investment Team Intern will work closely with one of our Investment Teams (iTeams) to support research, network-driven deal sourcing, and due diligence across venture capital opportunities. This role provides hands-on exposure to how venture capital firms identify, evaluate, and invest in high-growth startups.

Interns gain experience across the full investment lifecycle — from sourcing and screening startups to supporting diligence and contributing to internal investment discussions. This internship is ideal for someone interested in venture capital, startups, emerging technologies, and AI who wants to build strong analytical and research skills while learning directly from experienced investors.

This is a 10-week, full-time internship beginning in early June and based in one of our four investing offices: Boston, New York City, Menlo Park, or Chicago.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with sourcing and screening startup investment opportunities through the broader venture ecosystem, including alumni networks, founder communities, and industry events
  • Support due diligence by reviewing business models, financial performance, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics
  • Help prepare research summaries, investment memos, and materials for internal investment discussions
  • Conduct research on portfolio companies and potential follow-on investment opportunities
  • Support founder and portfolio engagement efforts by preparing insights and background materials as needed
Maintain accurate records of deal flow and support general investment team operations
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate market research, startup analysis, and investment memo preparation

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Entrepreneurship, engineering, computer science, other STEM disciplines, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Able to synthesize information clearly and present thoughtful insights
  • Interested in venture capital, startups, emerging technologies, and the broader innovation ecosystem
  • Curious about how AI tools can improve research, analysis, and workflow efficiency
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
