About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Childcare Intern in Pullman, WA! If you are a current student studying Early Childhood Education or a related field and are passionate about gaining real work experience in caring for children, we encourage you to apply!

As a Childcare Intern, a typical day might include the following:

  • Assist in overseeing the educational activities within the childcare classroom.

  • Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the childcare field.

  • Establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

This internship might be for you if you:

  • Are a current student studying Early Childhood Education or related field.

  • Are eighteen years of age or older.

  • Can maintain confidentiality.

  • Have negative Mantoux TB test result(s).

  • Can meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL.

  • Possess a valid Driver's License.

  • Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

  • Can learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

  • Can work cooperatively in a team environment.

  • Have background check results satisfactory to SEL.

  • Have negative drug test result(s).


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years documented early childhood development education

  • Foreign Language Skills


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours

  • Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and twist

Pay Range Data

($20.00- $22.00 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
