2026 Summer Intern
Location:
This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working from a Kaiser Permanente regional office. Finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.
Department Details:
National Accounts exists to competitively position Kaiser Permanente to drive sustainable membership growth through proactively engaging with our customers, their employees and our consultant partners. The department of National Accounts consists of over 100 employees who manage KP's largest commercial customers across all regions, providing $7.2B in revenue to KP.
Internship Projects:
Process improvements, operational enhancements leveraging AI (e.g., data integrity checking across systems), project management of role clarity, market engagement activities, data clean-up and analysis and reporting enhancements.
Target Majors:
Business Administration; Finance & Accounting; Healthcare Administration; Human Resources; Marketing; Public Relations and Communications
Target Skillset:
Data analysis, process and political mapping, comfort or a willingness to learn advanced toolsets such as PowerBI, project management, strong verbal and written communication ability, detail oriented, able to work effectively in a remote environment, professional maturity and critical thinking ability, AI fluency.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.

- Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- 3.0 GPA or above.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
