About the Role

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer Intern.

 

 

The hourly rate for this position is $20.77-$25.96 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 

a.    Measurement Systems Analysis (MSAs) - Develop the process for an MSA, locate the critical tools that need to have MSAs conducted and conduct the MSA. 
b.    Delegated Operator process implementation - Review the current AS9162 requirements, develop the plan to train supervisors and operators on how to self-inspect and delegate inspection to those teams.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently a sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in an engineering discipline at an accredited institution (college or university).
  • Relocation is not provided for this role. Candidates must reside within 70 miles of Davenport, Iowa.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR or have the ability to be authorized under licenses from Department of State and Department of Commerce. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AutoCAD system experience and required working knowledge and experience with computers preferred.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).

Skills:

  • Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
  • Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
  • Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions.
  • Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results.
