Purpose:
The Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for creating visually engaging content that supports KS WELI’s branding, marketing campaigns, and digital presence. This role requires a creative thinker with a strong grasp of design principles and experience using Adobe Creative Suite. Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, this position is responsible for producing high-quality digital and print materials that enhance the KS WELI’s brand and engage target audiences.
Responsibilities:
Design branded assets for social media, marketing materials, and event collateral.
Create and maintain templates for presentations, reports, and promotional content.
Assist in website updates and email marketing design.
Work closely with the Content Creator Intern to ensure cohesive visuals.
Adapt designs for different digital platforms and print formats.
Conduct research for KS WELI-related projects as needed
Participate in regular trainings and development activities to promote team building and collaboration, as well as individual development
10-15 Hours weekly commitment. Active communication style is essential.

Required Qualifications:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.
Strong Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within an identified time frame.
Organized, dependable and detail oriented
Ability to take creative direction and iterate on designs.
Strong organizational, time management skills.
Writing and proofing skills are also required.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills.
Available to work 10-15 hours per week during the semester, typically between the hours of 9 AM - 5PM. CST, with occasional nights and weekends for networking events where applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Out-of-classroom experience in graphic design and production.
Basic knowledge of HTML, UX, email design, and motion graphics a plus.
Hourly Rate:
$10+
Working Conditions:
Work performed in standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.
Available to work 10-15 hours per week during the semester, typically between the hours of 9 AM - 5PM. CST, with occasional nights and weekends for events where applicable
Schedule Work Shift:
10 - 15 hours per week
Position ends on May 14th, 2027
