About the Role

Beverage Flavor Applications Intern

Takasago is a major global leader and producer of flavors, fragrances, aroma ingredients and fine chemicals. The Beverage Flavor Applications Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the Flavor Applications team

This role provides meaningful exposure to projects and the opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up flavors in finished beverages for customer selection. Set up new raw materials and flavors for Best Choice List.
  • Prepare and develop non-alcoholic beverage formulations.
  • Work cross functionally with creations, application departments and sensory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fully matriculated student pursuing a degree in Food Science
  • Flavor or beverage application experience a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the matrix of several different beverage systems.
  • Learn how processing and raw materials impact color stability and flavor.
  • Utilize the color chamber equipment and evaluate how various light conditions over time impact color retention and changes. Evaluate the costing parameters from natural vs. artificial colors.

Internship Experience:
This 11+ week summer internship (June 1 – mid-August) offers hands-on project work, weekly development sessions with senior leadership, and opportunities to build professional skills. Interns will conclude the program by delivering a final presentation to Takasago executive leaders and employees.
