How You Will Contribute:
 

Requirements for telecommunications networks are constantly evolving, and our products also need to advance and scale to meet the needs of our customers while also delivering uniform and consistent user experiences.
 

As an RLS Integrated Test Engineer in a dynamic team environment, you will push the boundaries of what is possible in optical network solutions. You will work alongside experienced professionals to ensure the reliability and performance of projects that play critical roles in our network solutions and help build upon our innovative technology. You will also challenge yourself and others by bringing enthusiasm and fresh ideas to new challenges and leading by example.

  • You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases which play a key role in ensuring the quality of critical optical networks utilizing the RLS platform.
  • You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with multi-functional teams of developers, designers, quality assurance teams & release managers.
  • Engage engineering teams, product managers and product owners to transform high-level requirements into optimized test coverage.
  • Work in an agile development environment, participate in sprint activities to plan and produce high quality deliverables in rapid cycle and support activities across scrums.
  • Participate in group design meetings and internal brainstorming discussions to discuss solutions to problems or ideas for new features.
  • You will be accountable for managing individual project priorities, assignments, and timelines.

The Must Haves:

  • Enrolled in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field coupled with a demonstrated ability to design and execute manual and automated test cases.
  • Familiar with test automation tools and environments
  • Experience working with various network interfaces to communicate with test equipment such as Serial, USB, Ethernet
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience with programming in python & JavaScript
  • Proven debugging skills
  • Excellent written (documentation) and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Passion for improving product quality through testing
  • Strong abilities to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision.
  • A proactive self-starter with a high degree of confidence and commitment

Assets:

  • Proven experience testing software embedded solutions engineered for performance and reliability.
  • Flexibility is an asset as responsibilities can change from time to time depending on the priority of the team and company.
  • Familiar with the principles of fiber optic communication systems and optical components.
  • Familiar with test and network equipment command line languages such as vendor specific APIs, YANG, NETCONF, REST and OpenConfig

The pay range for this position is: $25.00-34.00
