Hastings Water Works specializes in seasonal pool openings, closings, repairs and weekly cleanings - as well as all equipment installation, repair and maintenance for spas and water features, including indoor and outdoor fountains and reflecting pools. We’re looking for a Customer Success & Marketing Intern to join our team and help us create exceptional customer experiences while supporting our marketing efforts. This role is perfect for someone who wants to learn how customer relationships and marketing work together to drive a growing business.


You’ll work closely with our Customer Success, Marketing, and Operations teams, gaining real-world experience across multiple areas of the company.


What You’ll Do

Customer Success

  • Serve as a friendly point of contact for customer questions and updates through email and text.
  • Process and manage online orders and assist with related customer communications.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to help maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Assist with various office and cross-departmental tasks as needed.

Customer Communications & Administration

  • Monitor shared communication channels (like the info inbox) to ensure timely responses.
  • Support internal workflows by managing reminder and print queues.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and track communication history.
  • Gather customer feedback through surveys and follow-up messages.
  • Help create and improve customer-facing materials and communications.

Marketing Support

  • Assist with content creation for social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and website updates.
  • Gather photos, videos, and stories from field teams to support marketing campaigns.
  • Help manage social media posting, responses, and basic analytics tracking.
  • Support promotional events, community outreach activities, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Maintain marketing materials such as brochures, signage, flyers, and digital assets.

Cross-Functional Projects

  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and leadership teams on improving the customer experience.
  • Participate in projects like market research, competitive analysis, or customer journey mapping.
  • Assist with CRM updates, data organization, and customer segmentation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer service, marketing, or administrative experience is a plus—but not required.
