Job Summary 

As a Social Media Intern, you will be responsible for helping to develop, curate, and manage content for our owned channels. You’ll collaborate closely with the Marketing and Digital teams to create visually engaging posts, videos, and stories that captivate our audience and promote brand awareness. This role is ideal for someone who is highly creative, familiar with social media trends, and eager to make an impact in the digital space. 


Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Create and schedule content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). 
  • Develop engaging visual and written content, including posts, stories, reels, and videos, tailored to each platform. 
  • Stay on top of trends, hashtags, and challenges to create timely, relevant content. 
  • Assist in managing the content calendar and scheduling posts. 
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of social media content, providing insights for optimization. 
  • Ensure content aligns with brand messaging, tone, and style. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create campaigns that drive engagement. 
  • Interact with followers and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner. 
  • Support social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to boost brand presence and engagement. 
  • Assist in growing social media following and improving community engagement strategies. 
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging social media tools, best practices, and trends.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities 

  • Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools). 
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices. 
  • Ability to create high-quality content using an iPhone, camera, and/or android. 
  • Basic understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights). 
  • Experience with video content creation and editing (TikTok/Reels). 
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles. 
  • Highly creative and passionate about social media and digital trends. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others. 
  • Confidence to be on camera and influence others to be involved. 

Education / Experience 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field or equivalent work experience.  
  • Experience working on social media platforms (personal or professional).
